Herve Renard Gantikan Roberto Mancini Jadi Pelatih Timnas Arab Saudi
SEAToday.com, Riyadh - Roberto Mancini telah meninggalkan posisinya sebagai pelatih tim nasional Arab Saudi, sebut pernyataan Federasi Sepak Bola Arab Saudi (SAFF), Kamis (24/10). Disebutkan bahwa Mancini dan SAFF mencapai kesepakatan bersama untuk mengakhiri kontraknya.
Keputusan tersebut menyusul tersingkirnya Arab Saudi di Piala Asia AFC tahun ini pada babak 16 besar. Arab Saudi juga kesulitan pada laga Kualifikasi Piala Dunia FIFA 2026 Zona Asia karena hasil imbang saat melawan Indonesia dan Bahrain. Mantan manajer Inter Milan dan Manchester City ini juga memicu kontroversi dengan aksinya yang meninggalkan lapangan sebelum adu penalti melawan Korea Selatan.
Herve Renard telah ditunjuk untuk sebagai pelatih baru tim, Sabtu (26/10). Ini adalah kali kedua ia menjadi pelatih timnas Arab Saudi, sejak masa jabatan pertamanya pada 2019-2023.
