Presiden Jokowi Akan Lepas 29 Atlet Olimpiade Paris pada 10 Juli

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) akan melepas kontingen Indonesia sebanyak 29 atlet untuk Olimpiade Paris 2024 pada Rabu (10/7) di Jakarta.

Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga Dito Ariotedjo. Ia mengatakan bahwa 29 atlet Indonesia yang lolos ke Olimpiade Paris 2024, ini merupakan terbanyak dalam 20 tahun terakhir setelah Olimpiade Athena 2004 ketika Indonesia mengirimkan 38 atlet.

Tidak hanya itu, terdapat beberapa cabang olahraga yang pertama kali dimainkan atlet-atlet Indonesia di Olimpiade Paris kali ini karena pada Olimpiade sebelum belum pernah lolos.

"Banyak sekali cabang olahraga yang ini pertama kalinya di Olimpiade kita meloloskan atletnya. Jadi insyaallah hasilnya bisa mengukir sejarah. Mohon dukungan masyarakat," kata Dito.

Terkait persiapan pemberangkatan atlet ke Olimpiade Paris, ia mengatakan sudah hampir selesai dengan menyisakan persiapan administrasi dan adaptasi di lapangan.

"Persiapan 80 persen lah, ini dikit lagi, tinggal nanti berangkat. Ya 20 persen lagi keberangkatan nanti bagaimana administrasi dan juga adaptasi di lapangannya," jelasnya.
