Kandas di 16 Besar Malaysia Open, Ginting: Kondisi Fisik Saya Belum Prima

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Tunggal putra Anthony Sinisuka Ginting menyebut bahwa kondisi fisiknya belum membaik usai pulih dari cedera, usai langkahnya terhenti di babak 16 besar Malaysia Open 2025.

Ginting harus kandas di babak 16 besar usai dihadangan wakil Thailand Kunlavut Vitidsarn 7-21, 10-21, di Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Kamis (9/1).

"Ini turnamen pertama saya setelah dua bulan kembali dari masa pemulihan cedera, memang rasanya belum maksimal mendapatkan sentuhan. Setelah ini pasti diskusi dengan pelatih bagaimana evaluasi dan persiapan ke turnamen di depan," ujar Ginting.

Ginting menilai bahwa pertandingannya di babak 16 besar ini berbeda dengan pertandingan di babak sebelumnya. Ini lantaran ia menilai Kunlavut memiliki tempo permainan yang jauh lebih cepat.

Terlebih kondisi fisiknya saat ini, ia melihat bahwa masih belum prima untuk bisa meladeni lawan yang memiliki permainan cepat.

"Dari secara permainan dan kualitas Kunlavut lebih di atas daripada lawan saya kemarin. Ternyata memang level fisik dan kebugaran saya belum ada di level yang siap bertanding melawan pemain-pemain seperti dia," ujar atlet berusia 28 tahun ini.

Di ketahui, capaian tertinggi dari atlet peringkat sepuluh dunia tersebut pada 2024 yakni menjadi runner up All England 2024.

Ginting pun masih belum mampu menemukan performa terbaiknya di awal tahun ini, setelah puas gelar di sepanjang tahun 2024.
