Kalah Lawan Rekan Senegara, Sabar/Reza Ingin Lebih Fokus di Pertandingan Kedua WTF 2024

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Ganda putra Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani mengatakan ingin lebih fokus lagi dalam menghadapi pertandingan kedua fase grup BWF World Tour Finals (WTF) 2024 di Hangzhou, China.

Dalam laga pertama, Sabar/Reza harus kalah dari rekan senegaranya, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto dua gim langsung dengan skor sengit 26-28, 18-21, Rabu (11/12).

“Untuk besok (hari ini) kami harus lebih fokus, pengalaman tadi sangat berharga. Semoga bisa merebut kemenangan di pertandingan berikutnya,” kata Sabar dalam keterangan singkat PP PBSI, Rabu (11/12).

Sabar/Reza menilai Fajar/Rian lebih siap dari segi strategi dan sebaliknya mereka bermain terburu-buru sehingga banyak melakukan kesalahan sendiri.

“Sayangnya di gim pertama ketika kami bisa mencuri momentum Fajar/Rian dan balik unggul tapi malah jadi terburu-buru ingin cepat selesai. Kami akhirnya banyak melakukan unforced error,” ujar Reza.

BWF World Tour Finals 2024 sendiri menjadi debut Sabar/Reza dalam puncak turnamen tahunan ini. Mereka pun tetap bersemangat untuk melanjutkan pertandingan berikutnya.

“Ini merupakan pengalaman baru bagi kami bermain di World Tour Finals, memang disayangkan harus bertemu teman sendiri di pembukaan," ujar Sabar.

"Tapi secara keseluruhan kami cukup senang bisa menampilkan yang terbaik. Harus diakui Fajar/Rian jauh lebih baik hari ini,” pungkasnya.
