Jadwal Copa America 2024: Brasil Ditunggu Paraguay
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Copa America 2024 yang merupakan hasil dari kolaborasi strategis antara CONMEBOL dan CONCACAF digelar di Amerika Serikat dan Meksiko. Edisi kali ini, enam tim CONCACAF turut meramaikan kejuaraan.
Total terdapat 16 tim yang dibagi menjadi empat grup. Brasil, yang menempati pot teratas, berada di grup D didampingi oleh Kolombia, Paraguay, dan Kosta Rika. Hingga saat ini, Brasil belum mencetak gol untuk membuka peluang maju ke babak selanjutnya.
Tokoh sepakbola terkenal Brasil Ronaldinho sempat mengungkapkan kekecewaannya dengan mengatakan tidak akan menyaksikan pertandingan-pertandingan Selecao di Copa America 2024 karena kualitasnya yang dianggapnya biasa saja.
Selain itu, Neymar Junior yang juga merupakan punggawa timnas Brasil terlihat menonton pertandingan dari bangku tribun dengan berulang kali memegang kepala dan menutup matanya. Ia tidak berpartisipasi pada Copa America 2024 akibat pemulihan cederanya yang masih berlangsung.
Tersisa dua pertandingan bagi Brasil untuk memastikan partisipasi di babak selanjutnya. Brasil membuka Copa America 2024 dengan hasil seri saat kontra Kosta Rika.
