Hasil Perempat Final Liga Champions: 2 Wakil Inggris Angkat Kaki
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Dua wakil Inggris Manchester City dan Arsenal harus angkat kaki dari Liga Champions 2023/24 setelah takluk dari lawan masing-masing pada leg kedua perempat final, Kamis (18/4/2024) dini hari WIB.
Man City, yang juga berstatus sebagai juara bertahan, kalah adu penalti 3-4 dari Real Madrid. Di leg kedua dini hari tadi, Man City sebetulnya bermain imbang 1-1 selama 120 menit pertandingan.
Akan tetapi pada babak adu penalti, Bernardo Silva dan Matteo Kovacic gagal menuntaskan tugasnya. Tendangan kedua gelandang itu mampu ditahan kiper Real Madrid Andriy Lunin.
Alhasil, The Citizens pun kalah 3-4 (agregat 4-4).
Di Jerman, Arsenal harus gugur setelah kalah 0-1 dari Bayern Munich berkat gol Joshua Kimmich (63’). Satu gol itu membuat agregat menjadi 3-2 untuk kemenangan Munich.
Dengan hasil ini, Inggris tak memiliki wakil di semifinal Liga Champions. Sebaliknya, Jerman mengirim dua wakil usai Borussia Dortmund menang atas Atletico Madrid satu hari sebelumnya.
