Sejauh ini, Indonesia berhasil memetik kemenangan dari permainan Jorji melawan Akane Yamaguchi dengan skor 17-21, 21-17, 21-13. Sedangkan, kekalahan dialami Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti melawan Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida. Lebih lanjut, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo kalah dalam menghadapi Aya Ohori. Jepang kembali meraih kemenangan dalam pertandingan Rena Miyaura/Ayako Sakuramoto melawan Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Allessya Rose. Namun, pada partai kelima, Indonesia menyerang balik dengan Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi yang mengalahkan Tomoka Miyazaki, 21-12, 14-21, 21-13.
