SEAToday.com, Seoul-Pemain Timnas Voli Indonesia Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi mencetak sejarah baru di Liga Voli Putri Korea atau South Korean V-League sebagai pemain terbaik atau Most Valuable Player (MVP) putaran pertama V-League 2023/2024, Rabu (8/11). Prestasi ini menjadikan Megawati sebagai pemain asing Asia pertama yang meraih gelar MVP.
Megawati dinobatkan sebagai pemain terbaik setelah dipilih oleh hampir separuh dari 31 pemilik suara yang berasal dari media-media di Korea Selatan. Dalam perolehan suara tersebut, Megawati mengumpulkan 15 suara, unggul tujuh suara dari Gyselle Silva dari tim GS Caltex Seoul KIXX.
Total, Megawati berhasil mengumpulkan 138 poin dan berada di peringkat keempat dalam daftar top skor. Selain itu, Megawati juga menduduki peringkat dua dalam persentase serangan sukses, yaitu 48,46 persen.
