SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Sebanyak 16 tim, termasuk Indonesia, telah memastikan lolos ke putaran final Piala Asia U17 AFC 2025. Timnas Indonesia meraih tiket ke putaran final usai bermain imbang tanpa gol saat lawan Australia pada laga terakhir Grup G babak kualifikasi di Stadion Abdullah Al Khalifa, Kuwait, Minggu (27/10).
Indonesia menempati peringkat kedua Grup G dengan raihan tujuh poin dan masuk dalam daftar runner-up terbaik di klasemen tim peringkat dua dengan empat poin. Poin itu didapat Indonesia setelah mengalahkan Kuwait dengan 1-0, Kepulauan Mariana Utara 10-0, dan imbang 0-0 dengan Australia.
Nantinya, kesepuluh juara grup dan lima runner-up terbaik yang lolos akan berkompetisi pada 3-20 April 2025. Lima belas tim ini bersanding dengan Arab Saudi yang berstatus tuan rumah.
