SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Manajer Timnas Arab Saudi Hussein Al Sadiq mundur dari jabatannya menyusul kekalahan dari Timnas Indonesia di Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026 Zona Asia, Selasa (19/11) lalu. Hal tersebut diumumkan akun X resmi timnas Arab Saudi, @/SaudiNT, Selasa (26/11).

Dalam unggahannya, "Manajer tim nasional Hussein Al-Sadiq meminta maaf kepada Dewan Direksi Federasi Sepak Bola Saudi karena tidak bisa melanjutkan posisinya di tim nasional selama periode mendatang,”. Al-Sadiq memutuskan mundur sepekan setelah Arab Saudi kalah 0-2 dari Timnas Indonesia. Hasil itu membuat Timnas Arab Saudi kalah pertama kalinya dari Indonesia.

Federasi Sepak Bola Arab Saudi (SAFF) turut menyampaikan apresiasi dan terima kasih kepada Hussein Al-Sadiq yang telah bekerja maksimal selama menjabat.
