SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Jorge Martin merebut gelar juara dunia MotoGP 2024 setelah finis ketiga di MotoGP Barcelona 2024 di belakang Francesco Bagnaia dan Marc Marquez, dalam balapan di Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Minggu (17/11).
Pembalap asal Spanyol tersebut meraih gelar juara bersama tim independen, Prima Pramac Racing, mengalahkan pesaing kuatnya, Francesco Bagnaia.
Martin mengumpulkan 508 poin, unggul 10 poin atas Bagnaia dengan 498 poin yang berada di posisi kedua. Jorge Martin memulai balapan dari posisi keempat, sementara Bagnaia memulai start dari pole position.
Gelar juara ini membuat Martinator merebut gelar juara perdana MotoGP selama karir profesionalnya. Pembalap berusia 26 tahun tersebut berhasil memutus dominasi Bagnaia yang menjadi juara MotoGP dalam dua musim terakhir.
