Rahmat/Yeremia Raih Gelar Pertama di Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024
SEAToday.com, Galle - Ganda putra Indonesia, Rahmat Hidayat/ Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan, menjadi juara di Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024 yang digelar di District Sport Complex, Galle, Sri Lanka, Minggu (11/2). Raihan tersebut menjadi gelar perdana bagi Rahmat/ Yeremia, yang diraih setelah mengalahkan ganda putra Malaysia, Bryan Jeremy Goonting/ M Fazriq Razif, pada babak final.
Rahmat/ Yeremia berhasil menuntaskan perlawanan sengit dalam pertandingan yang berlangsung 48 menit melalui drama rubber game 2-1 (18-21, 21-15, dan 21-15). Mereka menjadi satu-satunya wakil Indonesia yang juara di Sri Lanka International Challenge 2024, diantara wakil Indonesia lainnya yang belum bisa menembus laga final.
Sebelumnya, Rahmat/Yeremia dipasangkan di ajang Thailand Masters 2024. Namun, langkah mereka terhenti di babak 16 besar. Selanjutnya, mereka dijadwalkan menyusul tim bulutangkis Indonesia ke Malaysia untuk mengikuti Badminton Asia Team Championship 2024 yang berlangsung pada 13-18 Februari 2024.
