SEAToday.com, Doha - Tim nasional eFootball Indonesia menjadi juara AFC eAsian Cup Qatar 2023 setelah mengalahkan Jepang pada babak final di Virtuocity Arena Doha, Qatar, Senin (5/2). Timnas eFootball Indonesia yang diperkuat Elga Cahya Putra, Rizky Faidan, dan Akbar Paudie mengalahkan Jepang dengan skor akhir 2-0 dalam laga best of three.
Pertemuan Indonesia dengan Jepang merupakan kedua kalinya dalam turnamen pada fase grup di Grup D. Pertandingan berlangsung sengit. Di gim pertama, Indonesia vs Jepang sempat imbang 1-1, sebelum babak adu penalti dilakukan. Tim Merah putih menang 3-2 dalam adu penalti tersebut.
Sementara di gim kedua, pertandingan harus dilanjutkan ke extra time. Timnas Indonesia memecah kebuntuan 1-0 atas Jepang. Hasil tersebut membuat Indonesia menjadi juara AFC eAsian Cup 2023.
